Poor visibility all day in damp conditions driven by a F2 north east wind.

A Green Sandpiper was an unusual winter visitor to the area while the male Hen Harrier continued to frequent Humber side lane. There was still 97 White-fronted Geese and 4 Barnacle Geese blogging the area while there area now 30 Shovelers on Kilnsea wetlands and the 20 Whooper Swans still present. Elsewhere a Red Kite flew south and 2 Tawny Owls were calling in Easington.

The odd sunny spell or light shower with light winds.  Watches 0730-1000 

A good count of 92 White-fronted Geese wandered the area along with 5 Barnacle Geese and 5 Pink-footed Geese while some other good totals included 18 Mute Swans, 20 Whooper Swans, 21 Shovelers, 640 Wigeon and 2 Tufted Ducks.

Some lengthy sunny spells plus a few light showers in lightish F3 south east winds. Watches 0730-1000

The adult male Hen Harrier remained in the Humberside lane area, the 20 Whooper Swans still on Easington straight, while 17 White-fronted Geese blogged around the area and 2 Barnacle Geese were on Kilnsea wetlands.

The odd sunny spell early on soon clouded over with the odd shower milder than off late in the F4 south east wind. Watches 0730-1000, 1015-1230

Geese again dominated the day with totals of 330 Brent Geese, a Black Brant, single Pale-bellied Brent, 4 Barnacle Geese and 37 White-fronted Geese (20 flew south) while a 2cy Caspian Gull also flew south. There was still 20 Whooper Swans on Easington straight and a flock of 26 Snow Buntings along the peninsula.

A bright start clouded over by midday with some light rain in the afternoon with lighter F3 south east winds. Watches 0730-1000.

A change to calmer weather brought a fantastic movement through the area invoving 169 White-fronted Geese some briefly pausing at the wetlands. 

Around the area the Black Brant reappeared on the wetlands along with a Pale-bellied Brent while 2 Barnacle Geese blogged the area, the 20 Whooper Swans still present, an adult male Hen Harrier lingered around Humberside lane and a fine flock of 20 Snow Buntings on the beach by the lighthouse. Also today 9 Woodcocks, a Stonechat, single Short-eared Owl, 2 Merlins and an increase in winter Thrushes,

Rain all day remaining dull with the brisk F5 south east wind remaining. Watches 0730-1000.

Geese were again the highlights of the day this time 23 Barnacle Geese and 6 White-fronted Geese lingering in well field. Other bits saw 150 Black-tailed Godwits here also, 4 Woodcocks in the triangle and 9 Whooper Swans on Easington straight.

Poor visibility with light rain and a cold F5 south east wind.

A miserable day 19 Whooper Swans, 50 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Woodcocks and a Merlin about the only records of note.

Dull and wet first thing with the rain stopping late morning but reaming dull with a cold F3 south east wind.  Watches 0730-1000.

The best of today in the area saw 4 White-fronted Geese (single south), the 20 Whooper Swans and 9 Woodcocks.

Dull with some light rain from time to time and a cold F6 south east wind. Watches 0730-1000.

Bits over the sea included 2 Little Gulls, a Sooty Shearwater and 17 Gannets flying south while onland a Red Kite blogged the area and 19 Whooper Swans still present.

Dull with light rain and a cold increasing F5 south east wind. Watches 0730-1000 

Sightings today included 16 White-fronted Geese on Easington straight with 420 Brent Geese, a Pale-bellied Brent, 162 Greylags, 14 Mute Swans and 20 Whooper Swans. Over the sea 2 Goldeneyes and 2 Little Gulls flew south.

Overcast and dull with light F2 south east winds and some light rain. Watches 0730-1000

A male Hen Harrier blogged around sammys and 22 Russian White-fronted Geese were the days highlights along with 2 Goldeneyes on beacon ponds and the 20 Whooper Swans on Easington straight. There was also some light movement over the sea involving 2 Shelducks, 11 Wigeon, 61 Teal and 6 Common Scoters.

A nice sunny day with some rain late on, with the the F5 south east wind dropping a little. Watches 0730-1000.

Wildfowl featured strongly today on Easington straight including 416 Brent Geese, a Pale-bellied Brent, single Barnacle Goose, 17 Russian White-fronted Geese, 15 Mute Swans and 20 Whooper Swans with 11 Shovelers, 354 Wigeon, 134 Teal and 2 Tufted ucks around the ponds while over the sea 7 Shags headed south. 

The north side of Easington attracted 3 Corn Buntings and 20 Yellowhammers.

Overcast with light rain most of the day in a cold F5 south east wind.  Watches 0730-1000.

Best bits of the day saw a Shag fly north, 2 Pintails on the wetlands and the 20 Whooper Swans still present.

Dull and overast all day with some light rain and an increasing wind. Watches 0730-1000.

Little change the 20 Whooper Swans still present with totals of 6 Shovelers, 6 Gadwalls, 513 Wigeon, 22 Teal and 2 Tufted Ducks nearby.

A lovely sunny day with lighter F3 south east winds.   Watches 0730-1000.

The days highlight saw 16 White-fronted Geese lingering around Kilnsea and a Kingfisher on beacon ponds plus the usual 20 Whooper Swans on Easington straight. Over the sea 2 Little Gulls, 138 Red-throated Divers and 2 Shags were the standouts.

Ringing 1 Song Thrush, 1 Blackbird, 2 Tree Sparrow, 1 House Sparrow
