We’re really pleased to be working with Swarovski Optik this season, who will be providing a pair of their new CL Companion binoculars for use on our guided walks at Spurn.
Arriving in mid-May, the binoculars will be used by our guides during a range of walks, including the popular Triangle Trek – one of the best ways to experience the variety of habitats around Kilnsea.
The CL Companion is a compact, lightweight pair designed for long days in the field, with excellent image quality and a comfortable feel in the hand. Whether it’s scanning the Humber for passing birds, picking through waders on the wetlands, or watching migrants moving through the hedges, they’re built for exactly the kind of birding we do every day at Spurn.
For those joining us on a Triangle Trek, there’ll be the opportunity to try them out during the walk and see how they perform in real conditions – from open skies and wide landscapes through to closer views of birds feeding and moving through the area.
If you’ve ever been curious about the difference that higher-end optics can make, this is a great chance to find out while exploring one of Spurn’s classic routes.
We’ll share more once they arrive and have had a proper run out during spring migration.
