We are pleased to confirm that our annual Friends of Spurn members barbecue will take place on Saturday 7th August from 17.00hrs.
13 July 2021
It is a chance for us to say thank you to our loyal friends and supporters, particularly after the last 18 months or so, and gives us a chance to catch up with old friends and faces, discuss the upcoming autumn, enjoy some music and have a bit of fun along the way!
Of course, we were unsure if this event would be able to go ahead, especially after a 2020 hiatus, but with the government’s easing of COVID-19 restrictions from the 19th July permitting gatherings of over 30 people, this year’s event will be going ahead.
As with recent years, the barbecue will be held in the Observatory garden, with outdoor seating provided. Please bring your own beverages, and any snacks and nibbles, while the Observatory provides the barbecue food, including vegetarian and vegan options, although contributions of salads, cakes etc. are always welcomed!
This year we are asking our members to RSVP to let us know if they plan on coming. This will help us make sure we are sufficiently prepared and also give us a better idea on how to space out the seating etc.
Please email info@spurnbirdobservatory.co.uk with how many people will be attending from your invite and if you require vegetarian/vegan options. We look forward to seeing you there.
Enjoy the rest of your summer,
The SBOT committee
