A beautiful sunny day with a F3 north easterly.  It was a bit of a strange day following on from the cool, cloudy days of drizzle to a sunny warm day and suddenly an arrival of scarcities along the peninsula when maybe it was less expected. The day began with the GREAT SNIPE having small fly about and apparently seen a few times in flight during the day but unfortunately access with so many breeding birds in the field and around clubleys made it difficult to justify. Other highlight from the day were a GREENISH WARBLER at the Point near the green beacon where an Icterine Warbler was aslo present with also 2 Red-backed Shrikes (female middle camp, male Warren) and 3 Marsh Warblers (singing male in canal hedge being accesible all day, recording below) There were also a Cuckoo in the triangle, Whinchat at southfield farm, 2 Pied Flycatchers at the Point and 8 Spotted Flycatchers.
